Has been in the soccer camp world since 2000 when he was a camp coach during his college playing years at UCLA
Leonard Griffin
Leonard is known in the soccer community as an exceptional coach and an even better human being. In 2023, Coach Leonard Griffin was recruited by CAL and is the Head Coach of the Division I Men’s Program at CAL Berkeley. Before Cal, he was at Grand Canyon University, where he led his team to a conference championship and the NCAA Tournament. Previously he was the University of San Francisco’s Head Coach and an assistant at Cal, UCLA, and the University of Portland to name a few!
Before entering the college coaching world, he played for 8 years as a professional soccer player and spent time playing for the LA Galaxy, Columbus Crew, and Portland Timbers.
He is a part of the Positive Coaching Alliance and earned his certificate as The Double-Goal Coach®, who strives to win while also pursuing the more important goal of teaching life lessons through sports. Staying connected to the youth soccer players is such a joy for Leonard as he loves to instill the Heart of the Game into the future of US Soccer Players!
You will likely see Leonard’s wife Paige, a teacher with 15 years in education assisting the operations of the camp. And their two kids, Ravi and Sienna will be participating in the camp. It truly is a family affair

Ricardo Gutierrez
Ricardo, a former Collegiate Player and current GCU Assistant Coach. He has had over 15 years working in all capacities as a youth coach, an elite club and academy level coach and as a Club Director. His leadership, work ethic, and character on and off the field and works to instill those characteristics in his players.

Elite College Players have also gone through the Positive Alliance Training Program. The college coaches are athletes who have been hand picked and are eager to work with your rising soccer stars!

Leonard and Paige are the owners of San Francisco Soccer Camp and are a dynamic duo. Leonard provides the elite level coaching and camp experience while Paige utilizes her 15 years of teaching experience to add the extra enrichment curriculum, detailed scheduling, and makes sure that the kids are getting everything they need!
